SPRINGFIELD – Police arrested two teens in connection with a house break in East Forest Park Tuesday afternoon after neighbors witnessed the break in and alerted police, said Capt. C. Lee Bennett.
Just before 2:30 p.m., officers responded to the residence on Taber Street and apprehended the two teens inside, she said.
Arrested on charges of daytime breaking and entering and larceny in excess of $250 were 17-year-old Walter King of 26 Hunt St., and a 16-year-old boy whose identity was not disclosed due to his age.
When police entered the house, they found the pair attempting to leave with a large-screen television and other items, she said.
She commended the neighbors for being alert and for calling police.
